Digitial Citizenship Curriculum Keeps Students Safe!

Students worked throughout the first half of the year learning about Digital Citizenship and staying safe on line. Each class was presented with age appropriate material about their safety, behavior on-line and what to do if something scary or inappropriate happens. Our Middle School students not only received the lessons, they prepared interactive classes for the K-4th grade students. These classes were informative for the younger students and were a great leadership opportunity for our middle-schoolers! The curriculum, Common Sense Education, came to us through a Fidelis grant from the Diocese of Ogdensburg and also included 15 new touchscreen Chromebooks which have been integrated into both the classrooms and the computer lab. Several students created Digital superheros and submitted posters to the New York State On-Line Safety poster contest.
