Classroom Supplies

The following supplies will be needed by each grade for the 2011-2012 school year:

Kindergarten: 1 pkg of playdough, 2 lg glue sticks, 4 small glue sticks, 2 boxes of crayola crayons (16 or 24), 1 roll of paper towels, 1 pkg of crayola fine tip markers, 1 pkg of crayola lg tip markers, 1 pkg of Expo dry erase markers, 1 bottle of handsoap, 1 blue/red plastic flip mat (storage space is limited – www.classroomdirect.com has the mats for sale on-line), backpack, $5.00 computer lab fee

Grade 1: $3.00 to cover cost of paper for the year, 3 boxes of crayons (16 or 32), Crayola fine and broad tip markers (1 pkg of each), 3 boxes of #2 pencils, 6 glue sticks, scissors(with point), erasers, 12” ruler, small box to keep crayons & pencils in, 2 spiril notebooks, 1 box of Kleenex, 2 rolls of paper towels, 2 plain plastic folders w/pockets & center prongs (plain, plastic folders are very important because they are more durable & will be used for go home folders & writers workshop), 2 highlighters, 2 red pens, 4 dry erase markers (asst. colors), 1 box Ziploc bags, $5.00 computer lab fee

Grade 2: $3.00 to cover paper supply for the year, *$3.75 for weekly planner to be purchased at school, 50 #2 pencils, erasers, 1 Elmer’s glue, box of crayons, 6 glue sticks, scissors (with point), a box for small items, 1 box of Kleenex for the class, a ruler (12” & cm), 2 pocket folders, 3 spiral notebooks (wide rule), 4 dry erase markers (asst. colors), 1 pkg. of 8 fat markers, 1 pkg. fine markers,  roll of paper towels, 2 highlighters, 2 red pens, 2 plain folders with center prongs, 1 box of zipper bags, 1 pkg. index cards, asst. colored pencils, small box to keep crayons & markers in, $5.00 computer lab fee.

Grade 3: 2 pkgs #2 Ticonderoga pencils, eraser, colored pencils,  box of crayons, markers, bottle of Elmers glue, 6 glue sticks, scissors, ruler (12” & cm),  3 pkgs. loose leaf wide-ruled paper, 6 plastic pocket folders w/clasps (pockets at bottom), please use 1 pkg. of paper and put 25 sheets of paper in 4 of the folders, *$3.75 for weekly planner to be purchased at school, $5.00 computer lab fee, 2 boxes of Kleenex, pencil box, 1 roll paper towels, 1 pkg. paper plates

Grade 4:  6 two pocket folders w/clasps (plastic, if possible) in yellow, green, red, purple, blue and orange, 2 pkgs of loose leaf wide ruled paper, 5 marbled composition notebooks, 1 pkg of white ruled 3x5 index cards, #2 pencils (no mechanical pencils), blue ball point ink pens (non-erasable & non-gel), 2 red correcting pencils, a box in which to keep pens, pencils, 1 lg pink eraser, colored pencils, crayons, white glue, scissors, ruler (12”&cm)(non-flexible), protractor, 2 boxes of Kleenex for the class, 4 lg brown paper bags, *$3.75 for weekly planner to be purchased at school, $5.00 computer lab fee

Grade 5: 1 3-ring binder, 6 two pocket folders w/clasps (plastic, if possible) in yellow, green, red, purple, blue and orange, 2 pkgs. of loose leaf wide ruled paper, 4 marbled composition notebooks, 1 pkg. of white ruled 3x5 index cards, #2 pencils (no mechanical pencils), blue ball point ink pens (non-erasable & non-gel), 2 red correcting pencils, a box in which to keep pens, pencils, 1 lg pink eraser, colored pencils, crayons, white glue, scissors, ruler (12”&cm)(non-flexible), protractor, 2 boxes of Kleenex for the class, 4 lg. brown paper bags, *$3.75 for weekly planner to be purchased at school, $5.00 computer lab fee

Grade 6: #2 pencils, blue or black ink pens (non-erasable), erasers, crayons, thin markers, colored pencils, red correcting pencils, dry erase marker, pkg.of 8 subject dividers w/tabs, white glue & glue stick, scissors, ruler (12” & cm), protractor, compass, box to keep pencils, etc., 3 pocket folders (with 3 holes), three 3-subject notebooks, four 1-subject notebooks, 2 boxes of Kleenex, wide-rule lined loose leaf paper, basic function calculator, 1 pkg highlighters, 3-ring binder 1 or 1 ½ “, *$3.75 for planner to be purchased at school, $5.00 computer lab fee, large book covers (not self-stick), Optional: mini-stapler, 3 ring hole punch, tape

Grade 7 & Grade 8: pencils, blue/black ink pens, magic markers, colored pencils, glue, scissors, ruler, box for pens, pencils, etc. loose leaf paper for homework, 6 jumbo size book covers (stretch ones), 2 boxes of Kleenex for the classroom, 1 binder, 5 one subject notebooks, 3 pocket folder, scientific calculator with fraction key (Casio FX-300MS), crate for storing books, *$3.75 for weekly planner to be purchase at school, $5.00 computer lab fee

****Grades 2-8 will be required to have planners purchased through school @$3.75 ea.
